Billy

I agree. Unfortunately I have come to find Billy a despicable character. Imo he is responsible for Delia's accidental death. He did not intend for his choice to leave Delia alone in a car in the dark by a highway. Adam did not realize hit Delia. He did stop and he did look. He did not leave her to die. Billy did leave her alone. Now Billy is jury, judge and executed. Billy does not care about truth, justice, his son Johnny, his wife, his brother/sisters. After the accident he caused, he leaves Adam to die. Adam would not. Adam saves lives, including Billy's son Johnny.

I think he will do ok, or as good as he can with what is written.  I finally watched on line the episode that was Adam's last.  I liked where right before the crash, Adam said to Billy, what about your part in this.  IMO, that is what is most important.  We are  responsible for her children's safety.  We keep them out of harms way by not leaving them alone at home, in a car or in a store.  There is always the chance you can do this and do this often without any harm to your child, but it only takes once.  In my mind, I cannot imagine leaving my 7 year old in the car alone in the dark by an isolated dark highway to go buy ice cream.  In the first place I would want my child to share in the joy of selecting and having their company.  And the Billy I once knew would have, too.  When I drive especially at night on highways, I do anticipate there being a child in the road that is no visible to my eye.  I hope Billy does jail time, for taking the law into his own hands.  He has no way of knowing for sure that Adam was the driver, even though Adam now thinks he had to be.  But even if he was it was an accident.  He did get out and check.  He had other things on his mind.  By the time he thought he might have been the driver, everyone in GC was behaving like this person was the ultimate evil monster.  If I were Adam, I would have some anger at the person that put their child in danger, and in my path to hurt them unknowing.  Billy did not react well to being confronted with the truth.  I do hope that  Adam is eventually shown not to be the driver.  I think he almost hit the dog, but swerved .  When he did that I think Delia was in the ditch or wherever they found her, and the scarf blew and got caught up on his car.  The dog clearly was not that fond of Delia, as in all the movies and real life the dog, is protective of their owner.  The dog should had been seeking Delia and comforting her instead of walking the road and just looking lost.
