Victor, and his Machiavellian ways will offset and ultimately shine a new light upon redeeming Sharon !?
Once again, Sharon will emerge martyr ... so predicatable...
No wonder there are so many of us that cannot stand this worthless character and are sick of her never ever paying for anything she does. Always the victim.
She has no redeeming values/virtues. Over the years what has she contributed to the quality of life in GC or even her family. She does nothing, learns nothing is nothing. That is why there can be no redemption at this time. And re-linking the stale duo of shick will benefit no one. Who really likes Sharon Newman in Genoa City?? Her son, daughter and sometimes Nick who is nothing but a rich overgrown high school student who has no direction and does nothing for anyone except his kids and his WACKADOODLE ex-wife.

I like Sharon! She's one of the few characters that gets into lot's of storylines and tends to bring a different perspective to things. She can talk to Hialry, befriend Adam, give solace to Dylan, share loss with Chloe and best of all, burn down Victor and Nikki's house, LOL. Sure she can be a bit crazy at times but I think she's far less purposely nasty than most of the characters in GC. I'm never certain where her storyline will end up. She gets away with burning the ranch but has suffered the death of a child, been remanded to psychiatric rehab and jailed in spite of her innocence. And she doesn't judge others. I think that's what I like best about her. What bothers me is her poor judgment of character. She is too quick to forgive. Especially with Nick and Victor.

Speaking for myself only I think Sharon has as good of qualities as any other GC resident. IMO her worse flaw was showing support and loyalty to Victor for so many years. Now he imo truly has not redeeming qualities and is truly evil, cruel and destructive. Her need to want to be with Nick is not a good choice. He is a liar, cheat, judgmental hypocrite that cannot not be counted on. IMO he is entirely gross and has no value. I find him shallow, delusional and selfish. I do not think Sharon is all good or a saint. There are none in GC. If it turns out Sharon manipulated the letter indicating that Nick is not the father of Summer, that is a bad choice. I however cannot hold it against her all that much, because it is such a common thing to have done when it comes to who is the parents. So many have been guilty. Burning down the ranch was also not a good choice, but I think she was drunk, mentally impaired and imo Victor deserved it. He has been extremely deceitfully destructive to Sharon's life. How he followed her to Hawaii when she was trying to prove Adam innocent was evil and wrong. It ended badly for Skye. He burned Skye's home to destroy evidence that she was alive, not murdered by Adam. He stood and watched as Sharon struggled to save Skye from falling into the volcano. Skye fell because she was trying to aid Victor in keeping it a secret that she was not murdered, but very much alive. I wish Victor gone. Sharon is not a character I enjoy all that much, but at this time there are none that I do. But there far more others that I find annoying and despicable. There are lots of fans out there and viewers that have various views on the characters. Other characters have been redeemed for far worse manipulations, some resulting in death.

Actually what makes me stand up for Sharon is not that I like the character all that much, I just don't get how she is judged so much more harshly than any other character. And on the other hand her devoted fans see things I don't see. I do and have found her character to be one of the more compassionate, forgiving, kind and understanding ones. I think she and all the characters have been badly written for a very long time, to the point they don't make sense. Victor got away with burning a home that destroyed evidence Skye was alive. I think there have been a few other fire bugs in the past. My perspective was that Phyllis did cause the fire that killed Sasha. Sharon does trust too much and forgives too much. I think she is done forgiving Victor. I don't think I would ever forgive him.

Sharon better be done forgiving Victor, LOL. If not she really IS crazy. The writing has been abysmal for a long time. I'd say it went down hill when LML came onto the scene and made Gloria a major character. It destroyed the Abbott family and IMO the family has never been the same. Things went downhill from there with the whole Kay/Jill mother/daughter thing and then MAB's attempts to fix things by bringing in old characters and aging kids at breakneck speed to create new "old" family crises was a vailiant effort but just didn't work. Now JFP is just swamping the landscape with newbies that honestly, I'm not invested in at all.
